Rules for certification

General

Application for AI PAS certification exam can be registered either in the Alt-Invest Company or accredited certification centers. Specialized certification centers are authorized to organize and conduct examinations and then handout certificates. Tests checking and qualification conferment can be done by authorized Alt-Invest specialists only.
Exams are organized:
	for combined groups — according to the certification schedule;
	for corporate groups, the date of the exam is set up with Alt-Invest certification manager. For certification: provided by Alt-Invest; provided by accredited certification centers; provided by an enterprise in cases of corporate certification.
Applicants can be:
	Bodies corporate interested in certification of the employee or group of employees.
	Individuals who voluntarily wish to confirm their compliance with certain eligibility requirements..

The rules of application for the certification

Application for an exam can be submitted no later than two weeks before the chosen exam date.

Individuals:

In order to be registered for an exam a candidate submits an application in a free form, which has to include: 1. Full name. 2. Passport information. 3. Date of examination, selected according to the certification schedule. To register for AI PAS level «A» exam additional documents must be provided: 1. Copy of the diploma. 2. A letter confirming at least 1 year experience of working in positions related to economic planning, finances, commercial lending or consulting. The letter must be written on the company’s letterhead and contain information about the candidate’s current position and its terms. 3. Copy of AI PAS «B» certificate.

Bodies corporate: а) a) Certification for Individual employees

1. Account details. 2. Full name of a specialist to be certified. 3. Passport information. 4. Date of examination, according to the certification schedule.

б) Certification for groups of employees (corporate order)

1. Account details. 2. Number of employees in the group. 3. Full names of all employees registered for the exam. 4. Passport information of all employees registered for the exam. 5. Desired exam date. 6. Desired place of the exam (office of the company, the certification center or Alt-Invest office)

Registration of the candidate is confirmed via e-mail within 5 working days after application has been received. During the same time all the necessary documents and Alt-Invest account are provided to pay for the exam.

The examination of one specialist costs: PAS level «B» — 3,500 rubles, including VAT PAS level «A» — 5 000 rubles, including VAT

To participate in the certification one must have proof of payment for the exam before it begins. Payment can be made both in cash and non-cash.

Cost of the exam for corporate orders is calculated individually and depends on the number of participants and the venue.

After the payment has been received final confirmation with a registration number is send to a candidate. This form has to be printed and brought to the exam.

If a candidate skips the exam without valid reason payment is not refundable. Reasonable excuse is: Sick-list Business trip For participants of other towns: being late for an exam because of transportation companies, transporting participants to the city of certification.

If the reason is valid a candidate can register for another date.

Procedure of the exam

Only registered candidates who paid in time are allowed to take the exam. Registration of candidates on the day of the exam starts 45 minutes before.

At the exam, a candidate receives an answer sheet with a unique identification number from authorized Alt-Invest representative. Each candidate is assigned with a unique code for anonymity when checking the test results.
After the exam, filled answer sheets are collected by authorized specialist only, who then makes a special mark in the list of candidates, seals all the documents and sends it for review.
Exam PAS B
Level «B» exam — consists of 40 questions with correct answers. Assigned time to answer all test questions — 1, 5 astronomical hours without a break. The successful test results are at least 32 correct answers out of 40 possible.
Exam PAS A
Level «A» exam consists of 7 tasks requiring detailed solutions, to draw conclusions and their substantiation. To succeed one must correctly solve at least 5 tasks. The examination is held in a computer class using MS Excel. Assigned time to solve all tasks — 4 astronomical hours with one break for 10 minutes, individually.

The results
Test results at all levels are checked by Alt-Invest specialists only.
List of candidates proved their qualification level (certification exam PAS B) is published on Alt-Invest web-site 2 weeks after the exam.
List of candidates proved their qualification level (certification exam PAS A) is published on Alt-Invest web-site 4 weeks after the exam.
Certificates are handed and sent within 5 working days after the publication of test results on Alt-Invest website.
An appeal against PAS B examination results is not accepted.
Candidates who failed PAS A examination may request information about the incorrect solutions. The request must be sent no later than one week after the publication of the list of candidate successfully passed the certification.
After receiving such information one has an opportunity to appeal during a week. Appellation will be reviewed no later than 2 weeks, and then the final decision will be made, without the possibility of further appeal.
Registration
