Reference on the seminars for the Project Management Subfaculty of Management Faculty at the State University - Higher School of Economics by Andreeva S.V., Acting Dean of the Faculty of Management.

Computer programs created by Alt-Invest are widely used in teaching students of the Project Management Subfaculty of Management Faculty at HSE. In particular, 1st year students of Masters course attended a seminar conducted by Elena Zakharova, where key issues of Alt-Invest software use were explained (reviewed programs are Alt-Invest, Alt-Invest Construction, Alt-Invest Summ and Alt-Invest Summ Construction), as well as analysis of case studies illustrating the work of real companies using these programs.

The program of the seminar included:

• comprehensive assessment of investment projects commercial feasibility;
• forming a set of ratios needed to support the decision on the project (realization or refusal);
• exploring the process of development, analysis and expertise of projects.

These issues were covered during two seminars, each lasted four academic hours, and then to consolidate new information students calculateed examples of projects on their own.

Due today, it’s early to talk about wider use of Alt-Invest programs in the students studying, including their independent work on projects and dissertations, as seminars were pilot ones for the students of our subfaculty. However, in the future, we will recommend Alt-Invest software for use in students’ works.
